The Apple Michigan Avenue Store is located in downtown Chicago, Illinois on the riverfront—one of the world’s most iconic cities. It’s situated within a historic building, across from Chicago Tribune Tower and just steps away from Chicago’s beautiful lakefront. With its convenient access to both North Side and South Side neighborhoods, the store is accessible to visitors throughout the vibrant city!

This structure utilized a massive “miracle girder” to support the existing plaza and allow for an open concept. The girder weighed over 100,000 lbs and was shipped in three sections. It required preheat and welding that took over 24 hrs of continuous welding. CSG also erected the carbon fiber roof system. The carbon fiber panels were fabricated and shipped from Dubai, United Emirates, and were assembled on-site. This is a one-of-a-kind structure that has garnished many awards.
