OUR COMMITMENT
TO SAFETY

At Complex Structures Group there is no compromising on safety — in fact, it is our Number 1 priority.

CSG is a leader in the steel erection safety protocols implementing the best practices to ensure a safe and productive workplace. From our innovative designs in safety netting, to standardizing tie off procedures, CSG is proactive not reactive.

  DAILY TRAINING

CSG’s safety managers administer an industry leading safety program that focuses on daily training and oversight including tool box talks, pre planning meetings, site-specific plans, lifting plans and the completion of daily safety logs.

  WORKING AT HEIGHT

Federal regulations allow steel erectors to work at heights of up to twenty-five feet without being tied off. At CSG, we tie-off 100% of the time when working at heights greater than six feet.

  CONTINUOUS TRAINING

Our iron workers are required to have OSHA 10 training for construction and each foreman is required to have an OSHA 30 training as well as training in First-Aid and CPR. CSG works to meet or exceed all safety as per the general contractor’s requirements.

  SAFETY NETS

In 2016, a general contractor asked CSG to develop a passive fall protection system. Through collaboration, engineering, and innovative thinking, CSG developed a two-story netting system that allowed nets to be slung under areas while steel is being erected. It also incorporated a perimeter safety system that allowed workers to utilize a walkway rather than climb the iron around the perimeter. This system was the highlight of the construction, and the general contractor used our invention to ensure the safety of the workers and it exceeded their corporate safety goals.
